Picture me
Poor guy.
But this is what I woke up to this morning. He had this gift displayed on the computer screen, awaiting my groggy eyes and smelly morning breath. I got teary. I got happy. I got so thankful.
Because while I was traipsing up and down aisles of canned veggies and sugary cereals the other night, this is what my man was doing for me:
Isn't he so great?!? Ladies, don't you just want to smooch him right now?!? I know I do! I love how much he knows me and I love how perfect the timing was for him to give this to me. I woke up this morning, needing a huge hug...and he gave me so much more.
I'm so thankful for all of your comments and emails that encouraged me, letting me know that flying off the handle once in a while is such a normal thing. I absolutely don't want to make a habit of it but to know how so many of you have loved your children and raised them so well and now knowing that you've made these same mistakes...well, it's nice to be in good company.
But I have to say, this video right here shows that I'm in the best company every single day. These five people make my life what it is. Crazy, chaotic, stressful or not - I am so thankful.
I have a beautiful family filled with love for each other.
Like I said...best gift ever.

Jake's a keeper!...and the kids too! Great job Jake!!!
I have to laugh..after watching the video..I can't get the music to stop playing on my laptop...I muted it till I wanted to watch another video..Hmmmmmm...lol!!
Ha! We're just going to follow you around all day, Joanne! :)
You are...=)! Just going to logout of Google Chrome and see if it's gone???
Ok. That is like the sweetest. cutest. thing. ever. and I don't even "really" know you or your precious kiddos! What a gift!
my slow dial up won't play the video, but even without seeing it, I say "way to go, Jake"! Megan, I don't know how many times I walked...no, STORMED out the door when Paul walked in...I just needed to leave! You have four children under 5 and there will be days like that sometimes! You guys are doing an amazing job with those beautiful kids and it's OK that you aren't always "super mom". You love them and they know that, and sometimes you just need a break. One time I was leaving for some "me" time and Andrew wanted to know why I was leaving. I told him it was so I would be a better Mama and he said "oh, OK, bye Mom!" Don't be too hard on yourself. God's grace is truly amazing! Praying for you today,
Tracie
Thank you, Laura! Seriously, I'm so glad we're back in touch! :) And Tracie, I will definitely have to use the "to be a better mommy" because that's definitely putting a more positive spin on it! :)
What an AWESOME gift. Jake sounds like he is to you what Gary has always been to me, Jesus with skin on.....there to remind me that even at my worst God still loves me and therefore I can continue on with His love to learn to do better next time. You have an AWESOME family and a husband that understands how he plays a part in that too as you support each other. I know God will continue to bless you one and all!!
